Pair With Wallet

Request to initiate a wallet interaction so that you can request pairing with a payer's wallet.

For the MasterPass Online wallet, use this operation to initiate a wallet interaction to ask the payer to authorize pairing. You reference the MasterPass JavaScript client library in your page, and use the response parameters from this operation when you invoke the MasterPass lightbox. The gateway will manage all of the back-end interactions with MasterCard.

This operation requires authentication via one of the following methods:


  • Certificate authentication.
  • Basic HTTP authentication as described at w3.org. Provide 'merchant.<your gateway merchant ID>' in the userid portion and your API password in the password portion.

Ensure that the URL begins with 'https' and is longer than 11 characters.

Provide this field only when the Lightbox will be invoked from a frame that's on a merchant site, and when that frame has a different domain than the merchant site.
